Be it known that we, HENRY P. Vorn and EDWARD SIEBRASSE, each of whom is a citizen of the United States, and each ol" whom resides in the township of Featherstone, in the county of Goodhue and State of Minnesota, have invented a new and useful Invention in Attachments to the Caps of ind- Stackers of Threshing-Machines, of which the following is a specification.

Our invention relates to the separation of dust, rust and dirt from straw in stacking of same, and improved facility in stacking the straw which will be explained herein. \Ye attain this object by the mechanism which will be illustrated in the accompanying drawing in which- Figure 1 shows our device attachedv to cap of threshing machine as in use in connection therewith. Fig. 2 is a view showing how the device is attached to the cap. Fig. 3 shows a section of the three ditl'erent parts which in combination with the cap ol the stacker tube constitute our invention.

There is no wood about our invention as all the parts are galvanized steel.

Each of said wires is not quite ft, of an inch thick. being about 10 inches in a series of 13 pairs length, comprising Specification of Letters Patent.

The following explanation is necessary i order that the usefulness of our invention may be understood. In stacking straw, the windstacker without our attachment to the hood or cap, does not separate dust rust and dirt from the straw, as the dust rust and dirt is blown together with the straw. The straw 'l'lies around so that one in stacking the straw cannot get close to the cap ol" the stacker tube and stack to advantage.

\Yith our attachment, the straw in leaving the stacker tube is blown against these wires 0, and by its weight falls leaving an opening between each wire and the dust, rust dirt, and small particles of chall' escape with the wind, and thus the straw may be stacked free from dust, rust dirt and small ,particles of chal'l', and in stacking the straw, one can get close to the cap of the stacker tube, and thus stack to great advantage.
