IMPRovEn PORTABLE HEAD-REST.

Be it known that I, H. E. CHURCH-rm, of the city of Portland, county 'of Cumberland, and Stateof Maine, have invented a new and useful Portable Head-Rest, of which the following is a full., clear, and exact descripH tion, reference being had to the annexed drawing, mak

vSimilar letters indicate like parts. My invention contemplates a rest or support for the head, particularly adapted to the back of' car-seats, or other upholstered seats, which may be readily attached to and removed from same.

I design using this specially on car or other seats which are upholstered, since on such the grasp of the forks will be most cert-ain;`but by lengthening them v somewhat, and making their spread less,'t may be usedV on other seats as well. r

In order to make the rester more convenient for travelling, I attach thearms b bto the back by pivots, so that they may be folded up when not in use.
