The projections or rails on leaf B are furnished, at their inner ends, with-projections, also, which strike against other projections on counter A, when the leaf is pulled out to the desired point tofadlnit ofthe shaving ofthe ice.
The leaf B is cut away on its under side, so as to receive a common plane-hit, 1J, the opening being made large enough to also allow of the lice passing through it.
rlhe bit or shaver b is made adjustable by means of` screws passing through slots formed in its lower end, and by which it is secured to the leail B.
' C designates a tongue, iitting in a recess in. the leaf B, and pivoted therein by means of'a inet-al rod.
F represents athumh-screw, passing through a brace secured to the under side'of the leai'. as seen in iig. 2, and entering the tongue C.
By means of this screw, the tongue can be gauged to suit the desired lthickness of ice to be fed to the bit or shaver b.
D represents a mouth-piece, slidingl iu nieta-i supports or guides, secured to the lower side of the leaf B, on each side of the opening, through which the ice -enters the glass or tuinbler fitting over the rnouth oi' piece D.
