IMPROVED MEDICAL COMPOUND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, S. INGRAHAM, M. D., of Wooster, in the county of Wayne, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and improved Medical Compound and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereo which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same.
' This invention relates to a new and valuable remedy for various diseases, composed of various substances, each possessing healing virtues in itself, but being combined, as hereinafter described, form a compound, which I designate The Magic Macedonian Oil.
This remedy is more especially intended for rheumatism and inflammatory diseases, but is not confined thereto.
' Being a medical practitioner myself, and well acquainted, not only with the diseases to which the human body is subject, but with the various agents used by the faculty in combatting them, I have, as the result of my knowledge and experience, formed the healing-compound hereinafter described.
In carrying out my invention and discovery, I combine the following ingredients, in about the proportions named, viz:
Linseed-oil, thirty-six gallons.-
Olive-oil, ten gallons.
God-liver oil, two gallons.
Alcohol, one gallon.
*Sassafras-oil, four pounds.
Pipsissewa-oil, two pounds.
'Gal'nphor-gum, eight pounds.
Cassia-oil, two pounds.
Gajeput-oil, five pounds,
Horse-mint oil, one pound.
These ingredients are thoroughly mixed in a Z1110 vessel, and the compound is then filtered through charcoal, after which'it is ready for use.
Having thus described my invention,
I claim as new, and desire to'secure by Letters Patent The medical compound, composed of the ingredients in about the proportions named, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
