Another object of the invention resides in the provision of a multi-barreled fire arm having the trig er mechanism including an element designed to lift the triggerof the trigger mechanism and also to perform the further function of a breech to hold the cartridge against displacement incident to concussion due to the explosion.
With the above and other objects in view the present invention consists in the combination and arrange ment of parts hereinafter more fully described, illus tratod in the accompanying drawings, and particularly pointed out in the appended claims, it being understood that changes may be made in the form, proportion, size and minor details without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of thc in vention.

Referring now more particularly to the accompanying drawings, the reference character 1 indicates a base provided with uprights 2 and 3 connected at their upper ends by a eross piece 4 designed to aline with the upper end of the standard 5 secured at the forward end of the base for a purpose presently explained. The
cross piece '4 is provided with a. bearing depression 6 to cooperate with the bearing plate 7 clamped to the cross piece 4 in any suitable manner for the support of the trunnion 8 of the shell 9. The outer end of the shell 9 is supported by means oi the trunnion 10 journaled in the bearing 11 of the upright 5, as clearly shown in Fig. 3.

These blocks 20 are arj v r ranged for cooperation one with each bore 12 and aire pivotally mounted so that they may beturned to the position shown in dotted lines in Fig. 5, to permit of the insertion of a cartridge 22. After the insertion oi the cartridge 22 the cam blocks 20 are turned so that one end may overlap the cap of the corresponding Eartridgc to hold the latter against displacement incident to concussion due to the explosion. The hammer head 13 of thc trigger head 14 is designed to ride over the outer i'acc ol' the cam blocks 20 when the barrel is to ride upon thc cam face of the corresponding block 20 resulting in the trigger being carried away from the rear or major cud of thc barrel until the hammer head reaches the higher end of the cam surface, when it will drop behind the corresponding cam block and, due to its spring nature, quickly strike the next ca!- tridgc and fire the same. The cam blocks 20 are so spaced as to permit the lizunmer head to drop between them successively for firing purposes, and it is obvious that as rapidly as the shell 9 is rotated, just as rapid will be the firing from the different bores of the barrel.
