To all whom it may concern: l

Be it known that I, JouN H, TsiLGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Indianapolis, in the county of Marion and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Veneer-Clamps, of which the following is a specification.

The object of my invention is t produce a simple yet eiieient means by which two 'veneers may be brought together edge to edge and connected.

The accompanying drawings illustrate my invention:

the arrangement being such that, by shifting head 18,

'the two levers 16 may be simultaneouslyfswung and the bar 12 raised from or lowered toward the table l0.

Passing through table adjacent each 'pin 13 isa similar pin 20, threaded at its upper end to receive a nut 21,v and at its upper endpivoted to one arm of a lever 22 like lever 1 6. The opposite arms oi' lever 22 are connected by links with a head 24 pivot-ed on pin 1 9, and the two heads 1 8 and 24 are provided with convenient handles 18 and 24 respectively. Threadl ed upon the upper end of each pin beneath nut 21 is a thimble 25.

In a veneer clamp, the combination, with a support` ing table, of a pairof clamping bars thereon, a pair of pins carried by each of saidbars'and projecting downward through the table, means engaging one pair of pins for shifting the same simultaneously through the table inde# 'pendent eans engaging the other pair of pins for the samemdimulta'neously throughgthetable, and n1 i shifting one of said bars transversely on its pins.4
