mounted to slide in the hollow pin D and engaged'at its lower end by a treadle K under the control of one of the operators seated in front of one of the supports, 1, the support A Now when the operator presses the treadle K, the rod J is lifted and with it the cross bar H and the sets of plungers G, G, to raise the lattersuificiently high above the sheets B and the supports A, A or to allow convenient turning of the table 0 without the supports striking against the lower ends of the plungers G, G. After a quarter turn is given to the table C, the latter is locked automatically in place, and for this purpose a locking bolt L is provided (see Fig. 2), mounted to slide'in a suitable hear ing arranged on the late D and adapted to engage a recess or a eeper C formed in the under side of the table 0. A spring L arpresses the bolt L so as to snap the latter into enga ement with the recess 0, whenever the tab e 0 reaches the end of its turning position. The casing D is preferably formed or secured to the under side of the plate I), as lainly indicated in Fig. 2. The lower end 0 the bolt L is engaged by one end of a lever N fulcrumed on the plate D and adapted to be enga ed at its other end by a collar'J secured on t e rod J, so that when the operator presses the treadle K and thereby lifts'the rod J then the collar J imparts a swinging motion to the lever N, whereby the locking bolt L is pulled downward and consequently withas shown in Fig.

The sets of plungers G, G may be arranged in such a manner that one set applies paste to the sheets B near the outer edges thereof,
while the other set applies paste to the sheets at or near the centers thereof, so that the sheets pasted readil form easily opening ornaments such as be ls, festoons, lamp shades and the like.
It is understood that the sheets B,--after being pasted together, are stamped or out out to give the desired shape to theconnected sheets, as indicated in dotted lines in Figs 4 and 5, so that several ornaments are produced from one set of connected sheets B.
In using the device, the operators on opposite sides of the machine place single sheets on top of the previous one on the corresponding supports A, A 01 A, A and then the operator presses the treadle K to unlock the table 0 and to raise the plungers G and G out of engagement with the sheets and free of the corresponding supports; The oper ator then gives a quarter turn to the table 0 and releases the treadle K, so that the plungers G, G are raised and then drop, to carry the paste to the sheets B on the corresponding supports, and while this takes place, the operators again place the sheets B on the sheets held on the supports in front of them, after which the above described operation is repeated. Now it is evident that whenever a support comes in front of an operator it contains a sheet provided on its top surface with paste, and consequently when the new sheetis placed on top of the pasted one, then the two sheets are united. As any desired number of such sheets are placed successively one on top of the other and placed together in the manner described, it is evident that a large number of such sheets can be readily pasted in a comparatively short time. i
Although I have described the table 0 as intermittently turned by hand, it isevident that suitable mechanism may be provided for turning the table 0 intermittently by power.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters 1. A pasting machine provided with a paste box for containing paste, and'having 1ts bottom provided with an aperture, a cross head above the said paste box, and provided with a plunger extending into the said box and reglstering with the aperture, a plurality of supports for the sheets to. be pasted, a table on which the supports are carried, said table being adapted to pass the supports successively into pasting position under the said paste box, for the plunger to deliver the paste to the sheet, and means whereby the movement of the table may elevate the plunger to raise the lower end of the same into the paste and to permit the supports to pass under the bottom of the plunger.
2. A pasting machine provided with a paste box for containing'paste and having its bottom provided with an aperture, a cross head above the said paste box and provided with a plunger extending into the said paste box and registering with the said aperture, a revoluble table having a plurality of supports for the sheets to be pasted together, the said supports being adapted to pass successively into pasting position under the said paste box, and means controlled by the saidtable for raising and lowering the said cross head.
3. A pasting machine provided with a paste box for containing paste and having its bottom provided with an aperture, a cross head above the said paste box and provided with a plunger extending into the said paste box and registering with the said aperture, a revoluble table having a plurality of supports for the sheets to be pasted together, the said supports being adapted to pass successively into pasting position, means controlled by the said table for raising and lowering the said cross head, and a locking device for looking the table in place as soon as a support moves into pasting position.
4. A pasting machine provided with a paste box for containing paste and having its bottom provided with an aperture, a cross head above the said paste box and provided with a plunger extending into the said pastebox and registering with the said aperture, a revoluble table having a plurality of supports for'the sheets to be pasted together, the said supports being adapted to pass successively into pasting position under the said paste box, a cam on the said table, and a slide mounted to slide up'and down and connected at its upper end with the saidcross head, and providediat its lower end with a friction roller for engagement with the said cam.
5. A pasting machine provided with a paste box for containing paste and having its bottom provided with an aperture, a cross. head above the said paste box and provided with a plunger extending into the said paste box and registering with the said aperture, a revoluble table having a plurality of supports for the sheets to be pasted together, the said supports being adapted to pass successively into pasting position under the said paste box, a cam on the said table, a slide mounted to slide up and down and connected at its upper end with the said cross head, and provided at-its lower end with a friction roller for engagement with the said cam, and a manually controlled locking device for locking and interlocking the said table.

A pasting machine comprising a pair of oppositely disposed paste boxes, each having a ertures in its bottom, sets of plungers for t e said paste boxes and registering with the corresponding apertures, and a table mounted to turn and having a plurality of supports, of which two are at a time in pasting position under the said paste boxes, and the other two are in sheet receiving position between 'the said paste boxes. 0
7. A pasting machine comprising a pair of oppositely disposed paste boxes, each having a ertures in its bottom, sets of plungers for t. e said paste boxes and registering with the corresponding apertures, a table mounted to turn and having a plurality of supports, of
which two are at a time in pasting position underthe said paste boxes, and the oth r two are in sheet receiving position between the said paste boxes, and means controlled by the said table for raising and lowering the said sets of plungers on turning the table.
