Removable caps 21 are positioned upon the bearing extensions 18 and secured to said f extensions by any suitable fastening means. The shaft 22 is provided at its inner end with a squared shoulder`23, which is normally positioned Within' -a y similarly constructed aperture formed in the disk 24, which disk 1s posi-w tioned inthe largest end of the slatted core 15. By reason of the squared structure of the inner end 23 of the shaft 22 and the recess or disk 24, when rotary movement is imparted to the shaft 22, similar' movement will be im arted to the slatted core. A disk 25 is fixe y secured to the shaft 22 contiguons to the squared end 23 and is adapted, like disk 16, to engage a disk, iwhen'the core is inits rormal position, Fig. 1. If it is desired to remove the slatted core 15 from the threaded bolt 11 and shaft 22, this may be accomplished by threading the bolt 11 outward upon the auxiliary standard 6. These lingers remove any eXtra cement'overhanging or projecting beyond the Transverse notches or grooves 45 are formed upon cach of the longitudinal edges of the gage 39, whereby annular beads 46, Fig. 5, are formed upon the post or column. A removable bottom 54 is positioned between the sides of themold, and a tapering extension 55is iiXedly secured to the upper portion of the bottom 54. This extension 55 is preferably semi-spherical in shape, and is adapted to form a similarl constructed recess in the lnishcd base-bloc 56, Fig. 8.. A top plate 57 is provided with a central opening 58. The opening may be round, as shown in Fig. 7, or may be, preferably, squared at the option of the constructor. The plastic material is placed in the mold and tamped, and then the plate 57 is placed upon the sides and the opening 58 is filled. When it is desired to place the green block upon a support and again use the mold 5L, this can be accomplishcd by inverting the mold upon the top plate 57, removing the bottom 54, and again reversing the position ol' thc mold upon a suitable pallet. 3. ln a mechanism of the class described, the combination of a platform, a longitudinal adjustable standard secured at one end of said platform, a stationary standardsecured at the opposite end of said platform, a slatted core positioned between said standards, means carried by and connecting and` supporting said core upon said standards, and means for rotating said core.
4. in a mechanism of the class described, the combination of a platform, standards carried by said platform, a threaded member carried by one ot said standards, a rotary shaft carried by the other standard, a core supported upon said threaded and rotary members, and means for rotating; said core.
