.In carryin out my invention, I preferably employ a casing, terminal connections-therein, afuse device, means electrically connected .to the said terminal connections and'nornially heldiir an operative position by the saidfuse device and means operative upon the passage of an excess current for throwing the aforesai'l means mto an inoperative position and thereby opening the circuit, as will behereinafter more particularly described.
In the drawing, Figure my improved fuse box, showing the same with the cover open. Fig. 2 is an elevation of the fuse box with. the cover closed. Fig. 3

Referring .to the drawing- (t designates a casing which is preferably made rectangular in cross section and. of asbestos, vulcabeston or an other suitable insulating material or compounds of'insulating materials. The casing a on one side thereof is provided with a cover I) which is shown as connected to the casing by .means, of the hinges 10. This cover I) may be provided with a knob 1 1', and the top of the casing with the spring catch 12, by means of which the; door or cover is normally secured in position.
Within the casing (1 1T. employ a partition c made of fiber or any other insulating material and extending from the'hottom of the casing to a point appreciably distant from the top member thereof. This partition 0 substantially divides the interior of the casing into two equal compartments and in .each ofthese compartments and in similar positions therein, I employ a binding post or terminal C-OllllGC-tiOll'IZ which is adapted to re l have invented a-n- Improvement in 71* use-Boxes, ofpwluc-lrt-lre following is aspec l with theterminal (Z- 1 excess current 1 enmg of the fuse wire, the swing or uEWAmgnn JERSE ,ass euorrrocenutmm Y MALLEABLE' IRON ooMPA 1 \r,..Q ti
