Our invention relates to aportable tent for the use of patients afiiicted with tubercu losis or similar organic tissue-wasting diseases adapted to be set up in the 'room of a building so as to isolate the patient from other ersons not so afilicted that may be compelled constantly to be in the room proper of the buildin and also to provide a tent whereby the free air so essential in the treatment of such organic disease cases can taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, in which Figure 1 is a perspective View of a portable room-tent in operative position containing or embodying as arranged thecharacteristic main features of our saidinvention. Fig. 2 is a similar view of the tent structure in re. verse position to that of the structure as illustrated in Fig. 1, showinr the open side of the structure facing the Wall of theroom'of a building, with the opposite removable pan eled side having curtains employed in conjunction with the panels or stri s of the tent. Fig. 3 is a horizontal sectiona view of the structure, and Figs. 4 and 5 are respectively sectionalviews on the line a; x and'y yof Fig. 3. Referring to the drawings, a represents the window of a room or apartment of a building,"
within which apartment is placed the portable tent A of our invention. preferably constructed rectangular in shape, with solid top, bottom, and ends a, a a and a. One side of the tent is entirely open,
in substantially the manner This tent isv admitted therethrough into the interior of' the tent when the res ective sashes of the windowa are in a position to freely-admit fresh air into the tent.
On the opposite side of the tent .is provided two detachable flexible buttoned panels a and a, between which is suspended curtains b and I), engaging buttons connected with the panels or stri s a and a. The curtains b and b provi e when thrown backward an entrance-way into thetent A. The upper portions of the curtains b and b may be supported from the rods b and I)", held in brackets or holders 6 The several solid arts a, a a and a are so arranged and Olted together as to be readily taken apart for shipment or set up for use," as occasion may require. The tent may be adapted to receive a couch or bed and other appurtenances for convenience of the person to 00- cupy the same, and the tent-may also be arranged so as to ractically isolate the patient from 'others -of necessity com elled to be about the apartment within w 'ch the tent is set up during use."
