' To all whom it may concern:
- Be it known that I, ISRAEL 0. ORSWELL, a
I citizen of the United States, residing at Ames bury, in the county of'EsseX and State of Massachusetts, have invented an Improve- -ment in' Sparking Plugs for Explosion-Engines, of which the following description, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification, like letters on the drawings representing like parts.
My invention relates to sparking devices 'for explosion-engines, and particularly to the construction of spark-plugs and inductioncoils therefor.
My invention will be best understood by reference to the following description, when taken in connection with the accompanying illustration, of one specific embodimentthereof, while its scope will be more particularly pointed out ip t e appended claims.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is an elevation of a spark-plug embod g one form ofmy invention, and Fig. 2 s ows in central vertical section the plug illustrated in Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings and to,the specific embodiment of my invention therein illustrated, I have shown a spark-plug for an ex- 1 3 v which is in series with the sparking electrodes.
In the illustrated embodiment of my invenplosion-engine provided with sparking terminals or electrodes combined in a single structure withan induction-coil, the secondary of tion the coil comprises a suitably-pr0portioned' primarywinding a, which is wound upon the core I), the latter preferabl consisting of a bundle of soft-iron wires wit suitable insulating material interposed between the coil and core.
