Be it known that I, PATRIOIO CRUZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at San Diego, in the county of'Duval and" State of Texas, have invented new and useful Improvements in Merry Go-Rounds, of which the following is a specification:

This invention relates to improvements in amusement devices of the character knownas a merry-go-round, and is propelled by bicycles o erated by the riders assisted by a motor-cyc e.

The object of the invention is to provide an amusement device combined with a means for permitting of exercise and means for starting and assisting in its propulsion of the ap aratus.

In the drawings the numeral 1 indicates a track on which the bicycles 1, operated by the riders, travel. Outside of track 1 is a track 2, on which the motor-cycle 2 travels to assist in the propulsion of the apparatus.

A centrally-disposed post 3 su ports a platform 4, composed of a series 0 radial arms 5, secured to u per section of bearing 6 and braced by inclined supports 7, secured to a lower bearing 8. The upper bearin 6 is fitted to the post 3 and is composed o a lower cup-shaped section 10, formed with a raceway 11 to accommodate balls 12, and an upper section 13, which is also mounted on the post and is supported by the balls 12, the radial arms 5 being attached to it. Thelower section 10 is permanently secured to the post 3, and the u per section 13 is free to revolve thereon, coll ars 18 and. 19, secured on the post, holding said collars and the bearing in relative position. The lower bearing 8 is exactly the same as the upper bearing, and to the upper section 20 are secured the bracerods 7. 7

On the outer ends of each of the radial arms is secured a sup orting member 21, com osed of three mem ers 21, 21 and 21, whic are attached at their outer ends to a bicycle. Two of said members 21 and 21 engage, the axles of a bicycle, while the inter- 'mediate section 21 engages the seat-post.

An amusement apparatus thus described rovides. several ways whereby amusement is provided for those who do not care to ride bicycles, while those desiring such amusement and exercise can do so.
