To all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that we, FLORA E. J OUSSET and ALBERT D. J OUSSET, citizens of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Inhalers, of which the following is a specification.

()ur invention relates to inhalers, and more particularly to that class which is adapted to contain some substance to be soaked in somemedicinal liquid or preparation, the inhaler then to be inserted in'the nostrils of the user, so that all air drawn through same will ake up certain amount of the preparation, thereby proving beneficial to certain diseases of the nasal organs or the throat. These and other objects of the invention will be more fully described in the following specification and set forth in the a pended claims.

In the drawings orming a part of this specification and accompanying same like reference characters are used to designate like parts in the various figures.

Figure 1 is a side elevation of our improved device. Fig. 2 is a plan view. Fig. 3 is a side elevation, partly in section. Fig. 4 is a bottom view of same, and Fig. 5 is a side view of the device at right angles to Fig. 1.

The device consists of two perforated bulbs 6 and '7, made up of two sections and joined to each other by a yoke 8 of U-shaped 0r similar design. At the point where these two sections of the bulbs are joined we may use an ordinary slip-joint where friction is depended upon alone, or they may be threaded to screw together. .These bulbs contain within them a similar but smaller bulb 9, also made of two sections and adapted to be held together by the means above described. In Fig. 3 it will be seen that we inclose within this smaller bulb alittle raw cotton, silk, or

with some remedy for nasal diseases, or this bulb may contain powders or similar com pounds to be inhaled to give the user rehef. We adopt the two bulbs in order that the substance contained within may not be inhaled or wasted too rapidly and used away or perhaps prove too irritating to the party using it. These bulbs are constructed wlth a sufficient space between them in order to fit the nostrils of the average adult; but the yoke 8 is made of metal or similar substance which can be readily bent, so as to adjust the bulbs to the nose of any special size or formation. It is obvious that minor modifications of construction may be resorted to without departing from the essential features of the invention.

Having thus described our invention, we claim 1. In an inhaler, the combination with perforated bulbs joined by a flexible yoke and made up of two sections each, of smaller perforated bulbs adaptedto be contained in the united bulbs,

2. In a nasal inhaler, the combination with perforated bulbs adapted to be adjusted so as to fit within the nostrils, of smal er erforated bulbs adapted to contain me cities and carried within the adjustable bulbs.

3 In a nasal inhaler, the combination with perforated bulbs connected by a yoke and made up of two sections a apted to be fitted together, of a second set of perforated bulbs adapted to also made up of two sections fitted together.
