Beit known that I, WILLAM M W ILHELML, a citizen of the United States', and a resident of the city and county of Kalamazoo, State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Roll-Grinding Machines, of which the followingis a specification. f y This invention relates to improvements in roll-grinding machines. 5.
The objects of this invention are, first, to provide an-improved roll-grinding machine by which rolls of large size may be satisfactorily ground; second, to provide an improved roll-grind' machine bywhich such rollsas the rolls lpaper-makingimachines may be satisfactorily ground Without removing them'from the machines; third, to rovide an improvedv roll-grinding mac 'ne which may be `readily adjusted for grinding rolls of varying diameters; fourth, to provide an improved rollinding machine adapted to be adjusted so tat it produces the desired crowning of the rolls; fifth, to provide an.

I have illustrated and described my imoved roll-grinding machine in detail 1n the orm preferred by me on account of its structural simplicity and conveniencein o eration. I am, however, aware that it is capable of considerable variation in structural details without departing from myinvention, ,and I desire 'to claim the same specifically as illustrated as well as broadly.
