To all whom it may concern: Be it known that'I, WILLIAM an air-brake systembreaks' oif close to the 'ing drawings, 1 indicates angle-cock, which breaking of the train-pipe renders the brake system inoperative.
It very often happens that when a train is in operation the metallic train-pipe breaks at a point adjacent the angle-cock carried by the hose, and when this break takes place it is necessary to take the car on which the broken train-pipe is located into the shops for repair; and it is the object of my invention to provide an emergency-cock that can be readily applied to the train-pipe when such a break takes place, thus maintaining the regular service of the brake mechanism and making a temporary repair that is in every way satisfactory until the car can be taken to the shops where the'broken trainpipe can be renewed.

Referring by numerals to the accompanythe usual metallic train-pipe, which is threaded, as indicated by 2, to receive the usual angle-cock 3, that is detachably secured to the hose 4.
The parts just described are of ordinary well-known construction, and, as heretofore stated, the train-pipevery often breaks at Specification of Letters Patent.
