Be it known that we, Jon C. :BELLoFF and ANTON Ro'ru, citizens of the United States,

' residing at New Brunswick, in the county of Middlesex and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Frames forD ing-Racks and we do hereby declare the ollowin to be a full, clear,

' and exactdescription o the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the' same, reference being had to the accompanyparts, which will be hereinafter fully marked thereon, which form a part of this specification. p I

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in frames for racks to be utilized for drying gelatin or other substances, and comprlses the provision of a rectangular outlined frame having corner-plates with ribs about the marginal edges thereof adapted to receive the angled, ortions of: the frame and each havin a V-s aped projection upon a face thereo adapted to serve as su ports and so arranged that the projection wil serve as a reinforcement to the plate.

The invention comprises various other details of construction and arrangementsdof e-L scribed and then specifically defined 1n the ap ended claims.

whereby the latter may be securely held to the frame. In the drawings we. have shown two of said hook-shaped bolts as being utilized'tosecure each plate to the frame. Intermediate the ends of the frame is a cross rod or bar K, fastened to theopposite longitudinal portions of the frame by a union 0, and Qdesignats an angled pro ection or leg which is either integral with or secured to the union.

In practice it is our purpose to cover the frame before described with a suitable netting of wire or other fabric.

From the foregoing it will be noted that by the provision of the frame as shown and described a simple and efficient apparatus is afforded for dr ing gelatin or various other substances, an b the peculiar construction of the lates, as il ustrated, the latter may be secure y held to the frame and the plate braced by the V-sha ed projecting legs. By the construction of egs as shown read access maybe had to the nuts or bolts whic are utilized in attaching the plates to the frame.

What we claim is' 1. A tray for drying gelatin and other substances, consisting of a metallic frame, plates having an angled flange about two edges thereof and against which the angled corner of theframe is adaptedto bear, bolts passing through apertures in said plates and pro; 1

vided with hooked ends embracing'the frame adjacent to an angled corner thereof, nuts upon the bolts adapted to hold the plate to the frame, and aprojection from each plate serving as a leg, as set forth.

2. A tray for drying gelatin and other substances, consistin of a metallic frame, plates having an angle flange about two edges thereof and against which the angled corner of the frame is adapted to bear, bolts passing through apertures in said plates and provided with hooked ends embracing the frame adjacent to an angled corner thereof, nuts upon the bolts adapted to hold the plate to the frame, and a V-shaped rojection upon the under surface of each p ate, serving to brace the plate and form a leg therefor, as set forth; 4 a

A tray for drying gelatin and other substances, consistin of a metallic frame, plates having an angle flange about two edges thereof and against which the angled corner of the frame is adapted to bear, bolts passing through apertures in said plates and provided with hooked ends embracing the frame adjacent to an angled corner thereof, nuts upon the bolts adapted to hold the plate to the frame, and a V-shaped projection upon the undersurface of each plate, serving to brace the plate and form a leg therefor, the edges of said V-shaped portion being cut away, and the apex of the pro'ection being adjacent to the 1nner margmaf edge of the plate, as set forth.

4. A drying-rack comprising a retangular outlined frame of metal, plates, each having a flan e extending about two of its edges, hooked bolts passing through apertures in said plates; nuts u on the threaded portions of said bolts, the ooked ends of the bolts embracing said frame, V-sha ed projections upon the under surfaces of sai plates, a crossbar intermediate the opposite longitudinal edges of the frame, unions to which the ends of said cross-bar are connected, and lugs projecting from said unions forming legs, as set forth.
