Beit known that I, JAMES L. PARSONS, Jr. a citizen of the United States, residing at WVashington, District of Columbia, have inarranged to receive the sand, cement, water,
and other material comprising the concrete I and to thoroughly mix said material while it is being conveyed to the point at which it is to be used, thereby rendering it. possible'to take the raw material and depo it; it as thorgllrghl-y mixed concrete ith but one hanmg. i
- A further object of the invention is to so arrange a rotative concrete-mixin receptacle in combination with a derrick t at said re-' ceptacle will be prevented from. twisting in a vertica horizontal plane as the boom of the derrick is swung from oint to point.
Further o jects and advantages of the invention will be set forth-in the detailed description which now follows.

As has been hereinbefoie stated, the foregoing elements comprise a derrick of ordinary construction; but while m improved concrete-mixer is well adapte to work in conjunction With such a derrick it is to be under stood that any other form of derrick may be substituted therefor, if desired.
In carrying out the invention I provide a, yoke 19, preferably constructed as shown,
though an other form of yoke ma be substituted t 1ereior, if desired. Yo e 19 is swung, as at 20, to the outer end of jib 9 and carries sheaves 21 and 22, over which leadlines 23 'and' 24 pass. The lowering of receptacle 27 preparatory to dumping the concrete into the form prepared therefor causes said receptacle to rotate in the opposite direction, thereby further mixing its contents.
