To 41/ whom it may concern: Be it known that NEY, a citizen of th and State of New Jersey, have tain new and useful Writing Machines, of which specification.
his invention relates to type-writing mnchines, particularly those of the front-strike class,- and its object is to improve the key touch and to sirnplif actions.
My invention consists in certain feature of construction and combinutimis of devices, which will be l'zercinafter fully set forth, and particularly pointed out in claims.
In the dram'ngs forming put? of llll specification, Figure 1 is a central longitudinul vertical section f n frontt the Writing-nuithe following n chine made in accordance the parts of the illustrated in not-null position. Fig. 2 shows the positions nssutncd by the parts at the time that the type impression is made Fig. 3 is a cross-section of the machine, taken at about the line .r J3 of i 'ig. 17 fig. 4 is n diugrarn illustrating the convergence of thc'rear portions ol' the key-levers.
