Be it knownthatL CHARLES-E. HENDRICK, of Chicopee, in the county of Hampden, and tate of Massachusetts, have invented a. new and useful vImprovement on a Machine for Renovating Feathers; and I do hereby declare that the following' is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the 'samer reference beinghad to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which#- Figure l1 is alongitudinal section, taken on the line O P, iig. 2.

The opeiiation is as follows: The turningof nut N on' rodlE sets in motion the swinging valves D,` united by connections w with rod E, and swinging on supports u connected with receiver C, shutting or opening the outlets by acting in concert.
1. Three or more valves D D D D, Vrod E, nut N, in combination with thc receiver C, the whole arranged andoperated substantially in the manner herein shown and described for the purpose set forth.
2. The swinging valve D with the spiral springt, substantially as described, and -for the purpose Sgt, forth.
