SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 791,140, dated May 30, 1905.

Be it known that 1, ERNST DossMANN,farmer, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Prillwitz, near Eichberg, county of Filehne, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Plows of Potato- Diggers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of my invention.

In. the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation of my plows, whichare constructed in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section on the line w as, Fig. 1.

My plows or shovels a, bent in form of a scoop extending downwardly and with their points against each other, are suitably attached near the back end each to a longitudinal side of a potato-digger frame 6. These plows or shovels a are provided above with a shaft 0 of suitable form, which is able to slide in sockets d, fastened to the frame 6, thereby making V the plows adjustable in height. The shafts 0 are fixed in the sockets d by screws It.

The plows are adapted to enter the row of potatoes and discharge the earth over the said plows. The cutting edges g are curved from the front edge to the back edge, forming thereby ,points 6. These points are bent somewhat upwardly and the back edges 4 somewhat out- Wardly.
