' which- Figure 1 is a top plan view of the container with the cover removed. Fig. 2 is a similar view with the part 2O also removed. Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional view on the line 3 3 of Fig. 1 with the cover in place. Fig. 4t is a top plan view of the container.
This container is preferably made of glass, circular in shape, and comprises a body 10 and a suitable cover 11, which is adapted to be securely fastened to the body by some suitable locking device, such as the plate 12, which makes locking engagement with the shoulder 13 on the body. A washer 14 may be provided between the shoulder and the cover to make a tight joint.
The ligatures 15 are wound upon glass spools 16, which are mountedupon spindles 17 ,carried by a support 18 in the body, as clearly shown in Fig. 2. This support is of prismatic form, and in the embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawings I have shown a triangular support for three spools; but of course the container may be adapted to hold a greater or less number of spools by providing the support with a corresponding number of flat sides from which the spindles project radially to support the spools. The spools are mounted loosely upon the spindles and operate freely thereon between the iiat sides of the support and the inner wall of the body of the container, and the ends of the ligatures preferably extend upwardthrough openings 19 inv a guide or plate 20. This guide or plate is preferably made of rubber, and. it may be held in place by being sprung into the groove 21 in the inner wall of the body of the container, and it not only serves in the construction illustrated to hold the ends of the ligatures, but also rests upon the support and holds itin place in the body.
It will be observed that by supporting the spools radially in the body I am able to make the container in a small and compact form, and the ligatures are entirely separated from each other without liability of becoming entangled. Because of .the small size of the container it requires only a correspondingly small, quantity of alcohol or other preservative. The guide is preferably made in some sort of skeleton form-"-such as shown in Fig. 1, for eXample-and suflicient alcohol may be provided to. immerse the ends of the ligatures lresting upon or projecting above the guide,
so that these ends will be preserved in the VAsame manner as that part of the ligatures on the spools.k

Without limiting myself, to the exact construction and arrangement of parts herein shown and described, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. A ligature-container comprisinga body, a cover therefor, and a plurality of radial means for supporting the ligatures in the body in different radii of substantially the same horizontal plane.`
2. A ligature-container comprising a body, a cover therefor, spools carrying the ligatures,
and a plurality of radial means supporting substantially thesame horizontal plane.
3. A ligature-container comprising a body, a cover therefor, a prismatic su pport,and spindles on said support extending radially of the f bodyfor carrying the ligatures.
4. y'A ligature-containercomprising a body, a cover therefor, a' pris'matic support Within the body, spindles carried by said support radially of the body, and spools carrying therality of radial means on said support and projecting therefrom -in` different directions to carrytheligatures `iii-'differentvertical planes.
6. A ligature-container comprising a body, a'cover therefor, a centrally-disposed support Within the body, a plurality of radial means on said support'for carrying the ligatures in the bodyin differentradii of substantially the same horizontal plane, Iand a skeleton guide located below the top of the body for holding the 'ends of the lgatures and arranged to engage and hold the support in the body.
