Description

No. 769,485. PATENTED SEPT. 6, 1904 H. MUNDING;
STIRRING AND PROTH BEATING MACHINE FOR OONFEGTIONERS.
APPLICATION FILED DEC. 28, 1903.
N0 MODEL.
Patented September 6, 1904.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HANS MUNDING, OF INNSBRUCK, AUSTR[rt-HUNGARY.
STIRRING AND FROTH-BEATING MACHINE FOR CONFECTIONERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 769,485, dated September 6, 1904.
Application filed December 28,1903. Serial No. 186,825. 'No model.)
Be it known that'l, HANs MUXmNma subject of the Em pcror of Austria-Hungary, residing at Innsbruck, Austria-Hungary,have invented ring and Froth-Beating Machines for Confoctioners, of which the following is a specilication.
The subject of this invention is a stirring and froth-beating machine for con't'ectioners, with two froth-boaters driven by a single shaft.
This machine is suflicient to froth, on the one hand, all the eggs and butter required in a confectionery establishment and, on the other, to beat all the frothed cream, and all this requires only one person or one motor. Hitherto it was only possible to work one beater by means of a complicated mechanism.
\V hat is especially of importance with regard to this machine is that the plates and kettles used by confectioners may still be used, as the openings in the wooden table-slab can be made larger or smaller.
The accompanying drawing gives a plan view of the machine.
On a table-plate with four legs and two lateral supports, which carry the actuating mechanism on top of the plate, there are inserted the kettles or plates side by side in recesses, so that there is a beating or stirring device for each of the plates. As these stirring devices are, however, actuated by one common communicator-shaft a, the pastry mass in the different plates is worked simultaneously. The mass is worked by the tools generally used in the manufacture of pastry, which for this purpose are provided with a longstem passing through the stationary central ring and compelled by a-ring 71., essentially arranged at its upper end and describing a horizontal circle to rotate in the shape of the mantle of a double cone. The sticks or beaters are so ar ranged that when worn out they can be replaced by pushlng back the ring (I, which is a very great advantage. The guiding-arms c are adjustable by means of screwsf and allow certain new and useful Improvements in Stirl l l l of changing the speed as required and also of giving the beaters a larger or smaller circle to move in. If the mass is ready, the locking device r/ of the guide is opened, the ring /2 made loose and drawn out of the screw 1', and the kettles, beaters, and sticks taken out. On starting the machine the mod/m 0pe/wml/ is just the opposite. The ring Z' can also be adjusted by a slide and serves to hold a beating apparatus.
Instead of the beatcrs there may be used sticks or holders carrying balls with joints, allowing them to roll over the bottoms of the plates.
In order to be able to regulate the speed of the machine when driven by a motor, a regulating-brake may be arranged on the drivingshaft.
hat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent, is
In a stirring and froth-beating machine for a simultaneous frothing of different masses for making confectionery the combination with a horizontal driving-shaft u of several vertical shafts actuated by the said horizontal shaft, of several horizontal adjustable arms with rings /I, adjusted by means of screws '1', of horizontal stationary arms with rings 1 adjustable on the table and of stirring and beati ng tools with long stems c passing through the said rings and /& and describing a double cone around the stationary ring substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification.
HANS MUNDING.
