A tile-forming apparatus comprising a cylinder having one end formed with an annular enlargement, a non-revoluble plunger movable endwise toward and away from the cylinder, a core within the main portion-of the cylinder, a second core within the enlargement, said second core being movable endwise with the plunger from within the eulargement and being non-revoluble when within the enlargement, and a head movable on an axis relatively to the second core for cutting off. projections extending from the contiguous end of the tile,substantially as and for the purpose specified.

A tile-forming apparatus comprising a cylinder having one end formed with an annularrenlargemcnt, a non-revoluble plunger movable'endwise toward and away from the cylinder, a cor 2 within the main portion of the cylinder, a second core within the enlargement, said second core being fixed to the plunger, and a head journaled on the plunger and movable relatively to the second ,core for cutting off projections extending from the contiguous end of the tile, substantially as and for the purpose specified.

A tile-forming apparatus comprising a cylinder having one end formed with an annular enlargement, a non-revoluble plunger movable endwise toward and away from the cylinder, a core within the main portion of the cylinder, a second core within the enlargement, said .second core being fixed ,to the plunger, and a head having its lower'portiou journaled on the plunger and its upper portion journaled on the second core, said head being movable relatively to the secondcore for cutting of! projections extending from the contiguous end of the tile, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.

A tile-forming apparatus comprising a .75 cylinder having one end formed with an a nular enlargement, a core within the main portion of the cylinder, a second core within the enlargement having its periphery provided with recesses for forming projections. on the inner face of the enlargement of the tile, means for preventing revolution of the second core within the enlargement,v and means movable on an axis relatively to the second core for cutting off projections extending from the contiguous end of the tile, substantially as and for the purpose 'described.

A tile-forming apparatus comprising a cylinder having one end formed with an annular enlargement, a non-revoluble plunger movable endwise toward and away from the cylinder, a core within the main portion of the cylinder, a second core within the enlargement having its periphery provided with recessesfor forming projections on the inner face of the enlargement of the tile, said second core being movable endwise with the plunger from within the enlargement and being non-revq uble when within the enlargemert, and a head movable on an axis relatively to the second core for cutting otf projections extending from the contiguous end of the tile, substantially as and for the pur- 'pose specified.
9. A tile-forming apparatus comprising a cylinder having one end formed with an annular enlargement and with engaging means,
