HOT-AI R APPARATUS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 665,673, dated January 8, 1901.
Application filed February 12, 1900. Serial No. 4,873. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern: a switch F, so as to regulate the current, and Be it known that I, GEORGE B. FRALEY, a consequently the heat, and consists of the citizen of the United States, residing in the wires F, mounted on bars G, which are supcity and county of Philadelphia, in the State ported by angle-irons H, the parts being held of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and in assembled position by screws J, suitably useful Improvement in Hot-Air Apparatus, insulated, as best seen in Fig. 4. The heatwhich improvement is fully set forth in the ing-chamber O is provided with a perforated following specification and accompanying slide K,-which is removable or can be addrawings. justed so as to admit varying quantities of 10 Myinvention relates to an apparatus adaptair to said heating-chamber. ed to subject the arms, legs, shoulders, hips, One end of the casing B is closed and is abdomen, and other portions of the human provided with a door L for access to the inbody to the action of dry hot air for the treatterior, said door having a recess M therein ment of various forms of rheumatism, ankyfor the insertion of a thermometer N, the op- I 5 losis, arthritis, synotis, &c., whereby absorpposite end of said casing having a hood P, tion of effusion is caused and mobility is rewhich is provided withadraw-string,whereby stored to the affected parts and pain immethe limb or member to be treated is inclosed. diately relieved. On the upper side of said casing are slides Q,
