IMPROVEMENT IN TYPOGRAPHIC MACHINES.
To .all tohonra't that I, THOMAS HALL, of'Ber- -State of New J ersey,- have invented a new and useful, Machine for Writing with Type or Printing on `Paper or and I do hereby declare that the following isa full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the sam'e, reference being had to the annexed drawings making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 -is a perspective view'otthe machine, showing its workingparts. Figs. 2 and 3 are side and front elevations of the table and connections; and Fig. 4, an end view of stop-motion, as described in following explanation.

When moved to the right it acts on 'clutch n and raises it, enabling it to slide freely on rod M. The table P is placed on frame N, and slides freely backward and forward by the action of rail T, to which it is attached by clasp U. lRail T is fixed at each end to rods T T', on which it slides, and is moved parallel by rods fw 1c and levers W W on shaft Y. Shaft Y is moved by rod y, connecting with knob Z, by which the operator can move table to any and retain it there by a catch at lower end of knob IZ, which catches into notches in platez.
