PROCESS OF SOL'IDIFYING PETROLEUM.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 641,962, dated January 23, 1900. Application filed April 1, 189.9. Serial No. 7l1A05. (N0 specimens.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, BERNHABD Hpnnmn, engineer, a citizen of Germany, residing at 'No. 23 Rue le Peltier, Paris, in the Repubtity of curd soap and stearin, andheating and stirring the mixture until the ingredients are melted and thoroughly mixed, so that a homogeneous mass is obtained which solidifies on cooling. A suitable proportion of the said ingredients is, for example, as follows:
ninety-one parts, by weight, of petroleum, seven parts of curd soap, and two parts of stearin. These proportions, however, may be somewhat modified to give the solidified mass any required consistency from that of wax to that of cream.
Having described my improved process, what I claim is The herein-described process of solidifying petroleum Gil, which consists in mingling, ap-
proximately, ninety-one parts by weight of such oil with seven parts of curd soap and two parts of stearin, heating the mixture until the soap and stearin are melted and thoroughly'mixed, and then cooling and solidifying the same, substantially as specified.
