BUCKET AND LID HOLDER.
SIFECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 640,331, dated January 2, 1900.
Application filed May 25, 1898. Serial No. 681,709. (No model.)
tending downward, with a hook to hold asap-' bucket. The other end of the wire extends upward to hold the bucket lid or cover and allows said lid or cover to swing up and stay or swing back, as desired. I illustrate these objects in the accompanying drawing, which is a side View of my holder and shows its operation in dotted lines.
A is the cover-holder; B, the cover; C, the sap-spout; D, the dotted line of the tree.
E indicates the slot, which allows the cover to swing over the kink F.
G is the hook to hold the bucket, and I the coil around the spout.
To swing the cover down, lift it enough to pass back over the kink F. To put on said cover, spring the end of the wire from the tree enough to allow the cover to pass between the tree and the end of the wire.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A bucketand lid holder, consisting of a rod having a coil to embrace a sap-spout, a V61 tical lower part terminating in a hook, an up per part bent forward and then back to form two sides of a triangle, and a loop or kink pro jecting from the angle to produce a supporting-shoulder for the bucket-lid, all substan tially as set forth.
