TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCEEN:
Be it known that I, ADAM Rosemmneen, ofBrandonvlle, in the county of Preston, and State of West Virginia, have invented a. new sind improved :Hand-Loom; 'and I- do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, und exact description thereof, reference being had'to the uccompunying drawings, `forming part of this epecication. l v
This invention embraces novel appliances 'for effecting the shifting of the harness, and the specific adjustment ofthe some. l

` A represents-the frame of my improved loom, madeof wood, und of any desired dimensions, constructed of' four pieces of timber, framed diagonally across yeach other, and connected and secured together by a crosscentreplank or suitable piece of timber, B. At the crossing, and in the centre of each side of the' frame A, are erected two-posts C C, the tops of which are connected or secured together by means of a cross-timber, D.

bom-d g, und which keeps the roller P in. proper position. Underneath the centre plank B is a spiral spring. Z, that connects by a cord to the cap-piece p, that is located over the post E and pieces F, to form n. hearing for the tongues as they are operated up and down.
The operation is simple and perfect. After the werp or piece is in the loom, the operator-simply works the lathe buck and forth, by-the action of which, through the medium ofthe triangular frztmo Q and roller P, the harness-frames are worked or operated in a. proper manner. The shuttle is also workd by "the action of the lathe through the medium of the cam-lever d und pivoted lever f. When the levers stond in the position as shown in iig. 2, by the backward movement of the lathe, the lever f throws the cam-lever d around in such a. manner as to throw the shuttle in the direction of the arrow, when by the forward movement of the lathe the lever f 'passes the end of the cam-levend upon the other side, when, again, by the backward movement-of the lathe, the shuttle is thrown back, and so at eeeh alternate motion of the lathe.
Having thus=described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

In combinationv with the above, I claim pendant K, thumb-screw L, pulley J, and cords'e, arrangedns described,.a.nd employed for adjusting the harness as specified.
