TO ALL PERSONS TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME: n
Be i t known that I, MELZER BURT, of Norton, in the county of Bristol, and State of Massachusetts, have made a. new and useful inventionl having` reference to Ladders; and I do hereby declare the same to be fully described in the following specification, and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which- Figure 1 is a front elevation; and
Figure2`a. vertical section of a ladder provided with my invention, the purpose of which is to enable a painter or other artisan 0r person, while using a ladder, to have a platform or means of support for himself or his tools or implements, besides that furnished by the rounds of the ladder.
In the drawings, A denotes a common ladder of which a a a, &c., are the rounds or steps, and, b b the bars. B is a board or platform provided with two brackets C C extending downward from it at rightrangles to it, and parallel to each other.
