SPECIFICATION forming part of Iletters Patent No. 607,489, dated July 19, 1898.

Be it known that LHENRY B. SKEELE,a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook, State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Rooiin g- Tiles,of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to that class of tiles which are made to interlock with one another at their meeting edges.

It consists of details hereinafter fully de-.

scribed, and particularly pointed out in the claims.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Let-1 ters Patent, is

1. The herein-described roofing-tile consist ing of the combination of the flat portion A, the roll portion B, larger below than above, `the tongues a, a on the upper face, and the tongues b, o on the under face, which extend clear across both the flat and the roll portions and which iit into one another, and the tongues a', a/ on the upper face, and the eX- tended portion e of the roll and tongue f on the under face" of the roll which fit into one another, all substantially as 'shown and described.

2. The herein-described roofing-tile consisting of the combination of the flat portion A, the roll portion B, the tongues a, a on the upper face, and the tongues b, b, on the under face, which iit into one another, and the tongues a', a on the upper face, and the extended portion e and tongue f whichv lit into a', a', said tongue f having a projecting ledge f which brings its face iiush with the inner face of the inner tongue a', all substantially as shown and described.
