To all whom it "may concern:
Be it known that I, GODFRIED LAUBE, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Huron, in the county of Beadle and State of South Dakota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Combined Radiator and Stovepipe-Shelf, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein. to the accompanying drawings.-
This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in a combined radiator and stovepipe-shelf, of which the following is a clear, full, and exact description.
The object of the invention is to produce a device in the above-referred-to class which is designed especially for stoves burning soft coal, hay, straw, or other light fuel, and to form the same so that the passages will be sufficiently large to guard against clogging.
Finally, the invention consists in the novel details of construction, arrangement, and combination of parts tobe hereinafter more specifically set forth and claimed.
In describing the invention in detail, reference is had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, wherein like numerals of reference denote corresponding parts in the several views, and in which-- Figure l is a view in elevation looking from the front. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal vertical sectional view taken through the center, and Fig. 3 is atop view of one end of the radiator with the casing broken away.
In the drawings, 1 denotes a radiator constructed of the usual material, while in form it maybe circular, oblong, or square, depend ing upon the space it is to occupy, it being understood that by the use of the oblong form the stove could be stationed nearer the wall than when the other forms are employed.
The radiator has a fiat top surface of sufficient size to hold pots or steamers 2 or any culinary vessel. which is desired to be used. This radiator is capable of being applied to any form of stove, and for stoves for heating only it is especially desirable, since it increases the heating capacity of the stove and possesses the additional advantages of being extremely useful for reheating food or the like.
On the interior of the radiator is arranged a partition consisting of a piece of metal having right-angular arms 3, which extend upwardly and are secured to the under side of the head 4, thus strengthening the said head.
This partition has end flanges 5,which extend to the walls of the radiator and on which they rest securely in place. The four corners of the partition are cut away, as at G, and when in position in the radiator the flues 7 are form ed thereby. The bottom of the partition is provided with an aperture circular in form in alignment with the Stovepipe 8 8, and secured therein is a damper 9 having an operatinghandle 10.
The towel-rack l2, Fi g. 2, consists of a piece of wire having arms extending to the ends of the radiator, where they are firmly secured in the sockets.
. It will be understood that various changes maybe made in the details of construction of this device without departing from the general idea involved.

In a device of the character described, a drum having a flat head, a partition formed of a single piece of metal having a central aperture and upturned sides which are joined to the under side of the drum head, a damper arranged in the aperture said partition having also flanges formed on the ends which extend downwardly from the open ends of the partition and rest on the wall of the drum, as and for the purpose described.
