Be it known that I, WILLIAM J. BIRKEN- STOCK, of New York city, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Composition of Matter for a Polish, of
which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to an improved compound for polishing marble and other stones, and it is intended to take the place of an ordinary grit.
My improved composition consists of the the molten brass and lead, and finally adding the shellac and emery, which are thoroughly I mingled with the molten metals, and the melted mass ispoured into molds to cool. Af-
