H. O. YVILKINS, OF ALBANY, NEW YORK.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 53,913, dated April 10, 1866.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY G. l/VILKINS, of the city of Albany, State of New York, have invented a new and useful Composition of Matter as an Article of Manufacture; and I declare the following specification to be a true and exact description of the same.
My manufacture is that of corn-cake candy, and the process of making it with the mate rial used is the following, viz: I take about a quart of good molasses and put it into a large kettle, heat the same till it becomes of the consistency for candy. Then I put in a peck of popped corn (so called) and mix them thoroughly together. This mixture is then put into metal pans-ordinary baking-pans will doto about an inch in depth, and then sub- H. G.
