KEY OPERATED FOLDING TUBE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 537,928, dated April 23, 1895.

Be it known that I, AUGUSTUS D. KLABER, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a certain new, useful, and valuable Improvement in Key-Operated Folding Tubes, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

My present invention relates to key operated folding tubes, and has for its object to provide the combination and arrangements of parts such as will be hereinafter fully described. v

Figure 1 is a side elevation of my device; and Figs. 2, 3, and 4 show various forms of folders or keys to be used therewith.

Throughout both views of the accompanyin g drawings, and the following specification, like characters of reference indicate corresponding parts.

I am aware that numerous forms of tubes and packing cases for semi-fluid and plastic substances have been devised for either completely expunging the contents of such tubes or cases, or for expunging plastic substances of a stiff consistency, whereas my device not only accomplishes these ends but also permits the contentsof such receptacles to be ex ing action is to gradually bring the sides of the tubes next the folder together and as the material is folded up the area within the tube is decreased and its contents forced out through the discharging aperture.

The forms of folders shown in Figs. 2 amp suitable discharging aperture, a folder provided at one end of the flexible body, and a thumb-hold arranged at one or both ends of the folder, said folder when turned. being adapted to wind the flexible body thereon and force its contents out through the discharging aperture, substantially as herein described.
