CAR-COUPLING.

I SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 524,127, dated August '7, 1894.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, CHARLES L. BECK, a citizen of the UnitedStates, residing at Rebersburg, in the county of Centre and State of Pennsylvania, have inventedoertain new and useful Improvements in Car-Couplings; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear,

In an automatic car coupling, thecombination of the swinging plate pivoted within the draw head having crank and lever connec- 7o tions with a coupling pin, of a shaft pivoted to projections on the upper surface of the draw head, the bar F connecting the shaft E carrying the pin, D, and the shaft G, the said plate K adapted to lower the pin, when the pressure of the link is brought to bearagainst the same, allsubstantially as shown and described.
