My invention relates to an improvement in covers or caps, more especially for jars or pots such as used by druggists to hold poor other unctuous substances, and it has for its object to isolate or remove the label thereon fromcontact with the contents of so the jar or pet, both within the latter and in handling the same,.and yet permit the label to be readilyvisible so as to be easily read, and to these ends the invention consists in incasing the label in or upon the cover or cap and under a transparent or diaphanous material,

all substantially as hereinafter more fully disclosed and pointed out in the claims.

The cap, when the bent or indented fastenings tor the diskv and label are employed, is necessarily constructed of metal, but, as in the preferred form of the invention, as disclosed in the other figures of the drawings, the cap may be con: tructed of rubber or other substance in case corrosive materials are to be confined, in which event, also, asplitring of hard rubber can be employed to secure the disk and label.
