GAM E APPARATUS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 489,855, dated January 10, 1893.

Application filed July 18, 1892- Serial No. 440,326. (No model.)

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOHN B. DAVIDS, a citizen of the United States, residing at North Dartmouth,in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Game Apparatus, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the drawings hereto annexed, in which-- to Figure 1.is a plan viewof my improved game apparatus. Fig. 2. is a view in vertical section, of the same. Fig. 3. is a View in vertical section of the crater, and Fig. 4:. is a side view of the spring, ball tossing device. Similar letters refer to similar parts in the several views.

the center of the base a, is secured the crater 0, having radial and inclined passage ways e.

d, cl, represent partitions, extending from the crater, to the raised edge I), and dividing the upper surface of the base a, into compartments.

f. f. represent ball tossing devices, consisting of the lever it, having a recess g, in its outer end, pivoted at Z, to the standard t', and having the spring 70, interposed between them. The lever 72, is provided with a shoulder a, to 0 limit its upward motion, and a cushion, may be placed between said shoulder and standard,

to prevent noise.

The game may be played by two or more persons, the object being, to give the ball such an impetus as to toss it into the crater c, from 3 5 whence it issues by chance from one of the passage ways e, which openings are numbered I as 20, 30. 40. and 50; the player, counting the number on the opening from which the ball chances to roll, as points in his game. The 40 recesses m, are also numbered as, 5. 10. 15; and if the ball misses the crater, and rolls into a recess, the number thereof, counts as points in the players game.

I claim- 1. In a game apparatus, the combination of the base at, having the raised edge I), and provided with a series of recesses in its upper surface; the part c, centrally arranged on said base, and having radial, inclined and covered passage ways 6; andv means for tossing a ball into said part c, as and for the purpose set forth.

2. In agame apparatus, the combination of the base at, having the raised edge 1), and provided with a series of recesses in its upper surface; the part c, centrally arranged on said base, and having radial, inclined and covered passage ways 6; the raised edges cl, extending from the part c, to the raised edge I); and spring ball-tossing devices f. as and for the purpose set forth.
