The external diameter of said links is less than that ofthe rollers of the roller-bearing of either form shown, thereby relieving said links from any pressure against the journal or journalbox, the bore of said link being justsuflicient to engage over the projecting ends of two adjacent spindles. Two series of said links are used at each end of the roller-bearing, and they are so arranged that a ring of one series will bear on one side of one spindle and extend in one direction to engage with another spindle and a ring of the other series will bear against the opposite side of the spindle first named in this paragraph and, extendingin a direction opposite to that ot the ring just. referred to,`engaging with another spindle. In this manner every spindle will have a different ring bearing against its opposite sides, and the series of rollers will be bound together, so as to be irrelnovable by accident from their assigned places.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. In a roller-bearing, the combination of two series of rollers of like form arranged in reversed positions and each having a spindle extending from its opposite ends, the length 2. In a roller-bearing, the combination of` two series of rollers so arranged that the rollers ot' one series will have a rotative movement independently of the other series and each roller being provided with a spindle whose ends move on the same planes with the correspending ends of the other spindles, and two series of annularlinks at each end of said spindles so arranged that each spindle will be engaged by different links at its opposite sides, as and for the purpose herein specified.
3. In a roller-bearing, the combination of two series of rollers having a spindle projecting from the opposite ends of each roller and two series of annularlinks whose outer diameter is less than .the diameter of said rollers, the latter being so arranged thatthe inner ends of the rollers ot one series will overlap the adjacent ends of the rollers of the other series, the spindles of each series of said rollers being arranged intermediately the bear in g-su rfaces of two adjacent rollers of the other series and said links being arranged so that each spindle will be engaged by dierentlinks at its opposite sides, substantially as specified.
4. In a roller-bearing, the combination of a casing provided with an annular groove in its inner end, a cap for said box, having in its inner face an annular groove which corresponds to the groove of said box, two series of rollers provided with spindles which project from opposite ends of each roller, and two series of annular links which are arranged so that two dilerent links will engage the opposite sides of each spindle, whereby the several rollers will be retained in their proper positions and the ends of spindles will be caused to travel in said annular grooves, substantiall y as herein specified.
