ACTION FOR MECHANICAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 480,854, dated August 16, 1892.

Be it known that I, JOHANN L. MLLER, of Leipsic, Plagwitz, in the Kingdom of Saxony, Germany, haveinvented an Improved Action for Mechanical Musical Instruments, of which the following is a speciication.
This invention relates to a novel mechanism for actuating the hammers in mechanical m usical instruments; and it consists in the various features of improvement more fully pointed out in the claims.
In the accompanying drawings, Figures l to 5 are longitudinal sections through the action, showing the same in consecutive positions; Fig. 6, a plan, partly in section, of the action, Fig. '7, an end view thereof; Fig. 8, a side and end vieW ot lever a, and Fig. 9 a side anu end view of ring r.
The letter a represents the lever that is oscillated around a fixed pivot g by the perforated music-sheet N, that engages the nose n of the lever, as usual. vided With a circular projection s, embraced by and turningin the open ring r.
