Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a picket-wiring machine, the combination, with a suitable frame, of a gearwheel having a radial slot and side journals, as described, a segmental rack adapted to engage the gear-wheel, and a lever connected with the rack for operating the same, substantially as set forth.
2. In a picket-wiring machine, the combination of a frame composed of two triangular plates having perforated inner projections and securing-bolts, as described, the forward part of the frame having a slotted bearing and a radially-slotted gear-wheel journaled therein, an operating-lever with segmental rack pivoted in the rear part of the frame, indentures at the rear of the frame-plates, and the spring-actuated catches of the operating-lever, substantially as described.
3. The combination, in apicket-wiring machine, of a triangular frame having a slotted bearing and a radiallyslotted gear wheel journaled therein, an operating -lever with segmental rack pivoted in the rear of the frame, a pair of bearing-plates atthe forward part of the frame, and a gage-block secured to one of the bearing-plates, substantially as and for the purpose described.
