This invention relates to a new and useful device for rolling barrels, designed more es; pocially for the use Vot' porters, laborers, `at vrailroad freightldepots, &c., in order to facilitate the removal of barrels into -andnout from Warehouses,A freight-depots, &c. Y,

The invention is constructed @and used as follows: -A frame constructed on the principle ot' a'pair of tongs, A A, being two bars bent so as to form handles a a and' tangs b b, saidV bars 'crossing each other and connected'byal' tlilcrum-'pim c; The handles a a are, or may be, nearly parallel withl each other a greater portion of their length, and the tangs b b are bent or curved so as .to be of bail shape and extend around the side of the barrel to about the center of each end of the same. When rolling quantities of barrels, the pel"` son rolling can, when; within a few feet off-the stopping-place, release the `barrel in an iin stant by spreading the handles a` aapart and leave the1 barrelto` nxish its journey alone.
