To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JAMES B. LOGAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mount Vernon, in the State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Bake-Oven for Gasoline- Stoves, (named Best Bakerjlof which the following is a specification.

My invention has reference to portable ovens for vapor and gas stoves, and has for its object the provison of a simple and efficient oven for the purpose stated.

The invention consists in the construction and combination of the parts, as will be hereinafter fully set forth, and particularly pointed out in the claims.

In the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, Figure l is an elevation of a portable oven embodying my improvements, the front being removed. Fig. 2 is a side view, part of the front being removed to disclose a different arrangement of oven-compartment; and Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional view on the dotted line a" m, Fig. 1.

The outer or main case of the oven has a top piece A, the edge portions a of which are bent under to embrace the upper and outwardly-turnedflange b of side portions B B, the lower edge 0 of each side being turned outward to be engaged by the upwardly-turned edges d of the bottom sections 0 C. It will be seen that the outer edges of each side are V shaped so as to present an upper vertical and lower inclined edge, both being bent to present an outwardly-inclined flange e f. An end plate D has its sides bent to engage said flange (2, while its upper part 9 is looped to furnish an operating portion to enable the plate D to be slid vertically.

A damper-plate E engages the inclined flanges f, and has its upper part looped to enable it to be conveniently slid on the flanges. The side plates are cutaway for the free admission of airto the heating flame and an opening is left between the inner edges of the plates 0 G,.2

necting-strips z', the ends of said top plate being bent under, as shown, to engage the correspondingly-bent ends of the inner and outer end walls j 7c, the bottom plate Z being bent, as shown, to provide oppositely-inclined 5 5' portions. Within the oven-compartments and resting on the bottom is a loosely-adjusted plate m, having bent portions to maintain it horizontal within the compartment, for which it forms a false bottom.

Doors F, hung on the sides B B of the main casing, cover openings through which access is had to the oven-compartments.

From the foregoing it will be readily understood that an arrangement is provided for vapor-stoves wherein the heat passes vertloally between the oven-compartments, thence over the same, and finally descends. The oven is durable and the connections cannot become sprung or melt-ed, for the reason that no permanent connecting means is employed; but the several parts directly engage each other.

In Fig. 2 of the drawings I have shown the inner compartments of the oven reversed from What is shown in Fig. 1, and when so arrangedthe oven is adapted for use with a single burner, while two burners are intended to be used when the oven-compartments are arranged. as shown in Fig. 1.

I claim- 1. In an oven for vapor-stoves, the combination, with a casing comprising top and bottom plates bent at their edges, of sides B B, bent to engage said bent portions, the ends 85 of the sides being provided with vertical upper and lower inclined flanges, and ends and dampers sliding thereon, together with ovencompartments made up of plates correspondingly engaged, substantially as set forth.
