ADJUSTABLE STANDARD FOR PLOWS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 470,219, dated March 8, 1892.
I. Application filed July 1, 1391. Serial No. 398,199- (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JASPER K. TEAGUE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Alliance, in the county of Hunt and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful improvements, to wit: an Adjustable Foot- Piece or Standard for Plows of Every Description; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of my said invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the figures marked thereon as reference, which forms apart of this specification.
This invention relates to adevice by which the depth of the plow may be easily regulated without loss of time, the parts of which are cheap, durable, and particularly adapted to the adjustment of plows attached to cultivators, double shovels, sweepstocks, and cottonplanters.
Said invention consists in the peculiarcombination and arrangement of the parts, all of which are hereinafter more fully described and shown in the drawing, and pointed out in appended claim.
The invention is clearly illustrated in said drawing, which, with the letters of reference marked thereon, forms a part of this specification, and in which the figure is a perspec- In the drawing, the figure 2 represents the foot-piece or standard.

What I claim as new and of my invention 1s The combination, with a plow or cultivator beam, of a pivoted standard, a brace extendin g rearwardly therefrom, a bar centrally pivoted to the plow-beam, a hand-lever and rackbar secured to said beam, and a rod connecting the hand-lever to the centrallypivoted bar, substantially as shown and described.
