MlTER-BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 463,216, dated November 1'7, 1891. Application filed November 17, 1890. Serial No. 3'7l,'736- (No model.)
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR WARD, of Allegheny, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and usefullmprovementin Miter-Boxes; and I do hereby declare tbefollowin g to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
Myinvention relates to an improvement in miter-boxes; and it consists in the arrangement and combination of parts, substantially as hereinafter described, and particularly pointed out in the subjoined claim.
In the accompanying drawings, which form part of my specification,Figure 1 is a side elevation of a miter-box provided with my improvement. Fig. 2 is a top View of the same.
In the drawings, A represents the miter-box, having openings H made in the sides thereof, in which are the rollers O, which are pivoted in the projections K on the shoulder D of the adjustable bracket or frame B, having elongated openings F. The guide-rollers are set to the thickness of the saw to be used, and said rollers revolving as the saw is shoved forward and pulled backward makes it very easy on the operator. As the rollers wear, they can be adjusted through the medium of the elongated openings F and held in position by the set-screws G.
