Description
I Castor-oil, one ounce.
A'reN'r JOHN J. OELLIG, OF WAYNESBOROUGH, PENNSYLVANIA;
WORM-DESTROYING MEDICINE.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 445, dated October 28,1837.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN J. OELLIG, of Nvaynesborough, in the county of Franklin and State of Pennsylvania, have discovered a new and useful Medicine, called ()elligs Worm-Destroying Medicine, which is described as follows:
Proportion of the compound sufficient to fill an ounce vial: oil of tansy, ten drops; tincture of fox glove, twelve drops; oil of aniseseed, ten drops; oil of worm-seed, one'scruple; compound tincture of male fern, fifteen drops;
The above articles are to be well incorporated together.
At this present time, when the public is imposed upon by so many worm-destroying medicines, under different names and forms, without producing the general effect for which they are intended, I can now with certainty bring before the public a medicine of my own dis- (30"61) to destroy the worms of all kinds, from the smallest ascarides to the largest tzenia or tape-worm. It is mild in its operation, more pleasant to be taken than other remedies, and has by experience proved to be a certain cure.
phy are the most prominent features of this disease.
Atea-spoonl'ulof this medicine must be given to a child every two hours till itoperates. To an adult half a vial morning and evening.
The discovery claimed by me, the said JOHN J. OELLIG, and which I vdesire to secure by Letters Patent, consists in'the before-described compound medicine for destroying worms.
J. J. OELLIG.
