My inventionrelates to animprovement in "Heretofore watch-bows have been fastened to-the pendants in various manners. For instance, the ends'of the bow have been pro vided with heads fastened to the bow .bybe- 2:) ing secured in: holes in the sides of the same, the two ends of the bow extending through the heads on said ends will extend into the interior ofv thependant, and are held in this T by'a locking plate-consisting of a slotted tube or segment of a tube slipped into the inside of the pendant with its slots embracing the contracted portions of the bow ends behind beyond the locking-plate.
It is also well known that rotating stems have been fastened in watch-pendants to allow'rotatory movement and prevent longitudinal play of the stem by one or more pins or screws extending through the pendant into an annular groove in the stem.
The object of my invention is to provide a strong, exce'edingly'cheap, simple, and dura- 4o ble manner of securing the bow to the pendant of a watch, and one that will avoid and overcome all the numerous disadvantages of the old devices heretofore in use, and whereby the bow is firmly yet loosely secured to the same without removingthe stem of the watch or interfering with the interior'of the pendant, and also one that can be used with any kind of a watch, whether the case is a key or stem lever or pendant set.

A screw-threaded hole is tapped or other-' wise formed radially through the side of one boss or flange, c, to receive a setscrew, f, adapted to project into the interior of the boss. A similar screw threaded hole is formed through boss 0, although preferably upon the side diametrically opposite the side of the 'through the same into the pendant, and the set-screw in that boss is then screwed so as to project into the annular groove in the end of the how. The opposite end of the bow is then sprung into the opposite boss and the screw 'in that boss screwed into the annular groove.
-: The bow is thus secured to the pendant and yet'allowed to swing upon the same as a pivot, and can be removed by unscrewing the set-screws.

\Vhat I claim is- The combination of a watch-pendant, a pairof radially projecting annular bosses or flanges secured to or formed with the pendant and located 1 diametrically opposite on the periphery of the same, a watch-bow having its ends provided with annular grooves and loosely fitting in said bosses, so that the grooves will also be located in the same, said bosses being provided with radial threaded openings, and setrscrews extending from the periphery of the bosses through said openings removably into the annular grooves of the bow ends, for the purpose and in the manner substantially as described.
