A principal object of the present invention is to provide a device that can be used either in a shower stall or a bathtub and which is used for massaging a back and is used as a washer.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a vibrator that can be fastened to a shower stall by means of suction cups or by use of a metal fastener.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a vibrator which can be used with rollers so as to be used as a back washer.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a vibrator which can be automatically activated to be turned on by means of a person s back leaning thereagainst.
Other objects of the present invention are to provide a back vibrator and washer which is simple in design, inexpensive to manufacture, rugged in construction, easy to use and efficient in operation.
These and other objects will be readily evident upon a study of the following specification together with the accompanying drawing wherein:
FIG. 1 is a front elevation view of the invention shown with pad removed therefrom;
FIG. 2 is a view in a direction 2-2 of FIG. 1;
FIG. 3 is a front view of the device showing location of the electric components;
FIG. 4 is a side view showing a form of the invention that employs a hook for hooking over a bathtub and which incorporates a side arm;
FIG. 5 is a side edge view showing yet another form that employs massaging rollers, and which .is suction cup mounted to a supporting surface.
Reference is now made to the drawings in detail, and more particularly to FIGS. 1 through 3 at this time wherein there is shown a back vibrator and washer 10,
according to the present invention, and which includes a vertical base panel 1 1 of substantial thickness so that a plurality of openings 12 may extend from a side edge 13 the openings 12 extending into the interior of the base panel 11. Each one of the openings 12 has a vibrator motor 14 placed therewithin, each of the vibrator motors including an eccentric weight that develops a vibrating motion, such as is well known in motors of this type. Each one of the vibrator motors are connected by means of electrical wiring 15 to an electric outlet source and which can be turned on and off by means of waterproof switches 16 which are designed to be activated when a persons back leans against the flat side of the base panel. A front side of the base panel 1 1 however is first covered by means of a comfortable pad 17 securable thereto by means of four removable mounting screws fitted through openings 18 and 19. All of the electrical wiring is waterproof so that there is no danger of electrical short circuits.
The vibrator can be fastened in a shower stall 20 either by means of suction cups or by means of a metal fastener 21. In FIG. 1, the reference numerals 22 represent side walls of the shower stall and the reference numeral 23 represents the floor thereof. The base panel is vertically adjustable upon a supporting frame 24 and by means of an adjustable rod 25.
The pad 17 is readily removable so that it can be changeable with other pads as desired. The vibrator can be made toinclude rollers so that it is useable as a back washer, as preferred by a person.
Reference is now made to FIG. 4 of the drawing wherein there is shown a modified design of back vibrator and washer 26 that can be installed on a bathtub 27, the vibrator 26 including a hook 28 that hooks over the top of the bathtub for support. Additionally the vibrator incorporates a side arm 29 and which would be particularly adaptable for bathtubs that are built in so that the hook would not fit for support. The vibrator 26 incorporates all of the features described above for the vibrator 10.
In FIG. 5 of the drawing there is shown still another modified design of vibrator 30 that incorporates all of the above described features and which is supported to a vertical surface by means of suction cups 31. Additionally the vibrator includes a series of rollers 32 that are useable as massagers for a persons back.
It is to be noted that the above described vibrator 10 is adjustable at the base so that it can be pulled out to fit a shower stall in order to make it more stable.
Thus there is provided a back vibrator and washer that serves a useful purpose.
What I now claim is:
1. In a back vibrator and washer, the combination of a base panel, a pad upon the front side of said base panel, and said base panel incorporating a plurality of vibrator motors for developing a vibrating motion;
Said base panel having a plurality of openings extending from a side edge thereof, each one of said openings extending into a center of said base panel, and each one of said openings receiving a vibrator motor, said vibrator motor being connected by a water-proof wiring to a switch and an electric source.
2. The combination as set forth in claim 1 wherein said base panel is of a size for installation in a shower stall.
3. The combination as set forth in claim 2 wherein said vibrator is of a size adaptable for installation on a bathtub, and which accordingly includes a hook for placement over a'top of said bathtub and additionally a side arm.
4. The combination as set forth in ciaim 3 wherein said base panel of said vibrator is adaptable to support a plurality of rollers for rolling against a persons back.

Claims (4)
