Abstract

An artificial and aromatic flower of the type constructed from plastic or the like and including a flower base having stem, sepal and petal components, the sepal defining an inner reservoir. A container for aromatic material, such as perfurm, is seated in the inner reservoir and distributed outwardly of the flower by pistil and stamen components extending as wick-like distributors of the aromatic matter. Modifications of the invention include alternate means for supporting the stamen and pistil components in the neck of the aromatic container.

ARTIFICIAL AND AROMATIC FLOWER BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention Artificial flowers, particularly artificial pistil means for distributing aromatic matter, such as perfume adjacent the petal components of said flower. The invention includes various modifications for supporting the pistil, as well as stamen components, as well as a transparent package, having a bracket supporting the artificial flower and a plate supporting alternate combinations of perfume containers and the pistil and stamen components.

2. Summary of the Invention According to the present invention, an artificial flower is provided with stem, sepal and petal components. An aromatic perfume container is supported as a reservoir within the sepal components, such that its neck and opening extend co-axially with the stem and petals. A plug supports artificial stamen and pistil components such that the pistil extends inwardly of the container for engagement with the perfume and outwardly thereof as a wick for distribution of the perfume. Various cap components are provided for closing down the pistil and stamen components, so as to seal the perfume against aromatic distribution.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a vertical section, showing the aromatic reservoir supported within the sepal and the pistil and stamen components sealed by engagement of a cap with the container neck.

FIG. 2 is a vertical section of the reservoir, showing the cap removed for radial extension of the stamen components.

FIG. 3 is a vertical section of a modifiedarrangement wherein an inner plug engages a medial portion of the pistil and stamen components, so as to support them within the neck of the enclosure.

FIG. 4 is a vertical section of the container shown in FIG. 3 and including a cap threadedly engaging the exterior threads of the container neck.

FIG. 5 is a vertical elevation of the inner plug and pistil-stamen combination illustrated in FIG. 3.

FIG. 6 is a vertical section of a further modification, showing a foraminous inner plug supporting foreshortened pistil and stamen ends; and

FIG. 7is a perspective showing the combination of artificial and aromatic flowers supported by a bracket means within a transparent package, together with individual containers and pistil-stamen combinations.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS In FIG. 1 an artificial flower is illustrated as including petal components 1 extending into sepal 2 which defines an inner reservoir for support of truncated container 6. The stamen component ends 4 are supported in the neck of container 2 adjacent the mid-portion of pistil 4' which extends into the interior of the container. A plastic or like resilient cap 5 may be employed to cover the outer ends of the stamen and pistil components, while engaging the truncated exterior of the container neck.

In FIG. 2 the foregoing arrangement is shown with cap 5 removed, so as to permit radial distension of the stamen components and capillary distribution of the perfume through pistil member 4'. A base supported member 7 conformed complementally with the reservoir bottom 6 may be also employed as a seat within the stamen reservoir 2.

In FIG. 3 a modified arrangement is illustrated wherein the stamen and pistil components 16 are substantially co-extensive, yet encircled at a mid-portion by means of circular plug 19 seated within the neck opening of container 15. The individual petal ends 11 may be seated within the sepal 13 adjacent the container 15 lower portion. The neck 18 of the container 13 may have exterior threads l8,for engagement with interior threads of an encircling closure cap (not illustrated).

In FIG. 4 a further modification is illustrated wherein container 25, neck portion 28 has exterior threads for engagement with the interior threads of a closure cap, as at 24.

In FIG. 5 the stamen-pistil plus combination of FIG. 3 is further illustrated.

In FIG. 6 a further modification is shown wherein the foraminousplug 19' has axially extending channels 17' for distribution of the aromatic material intermediate the stamen-pistil components 17.

In FIG. 7 the package combination is illustrated as including a baseplate 30 having display support aperture 34 and a transparent cover 32 such that flower support bracket 20 seated upon plate 30 engages the stern of the artificial flower. 22, 24, 26 and 28 may be supported on the plate, so as to be displayed for selective use with the artificial and aromatic flower.

Manifestly, the flower components and reservoir may be variously constructed without departing from the spirit of invention.

I claim:

1. An artificial and aromatic flower kit comprising:

A. a flower base including stem, sepal and petal components, said sepal defining an inner reservoir;

B. a container for aromatic matter supported in said reservoir such that its neck and outlet end is substantially co-axial with said stem, sepal and petal components;

C. pistil and stamen components of said flower supported in said container and extending outwardly of said reservoir, as wick like distributors of said aromatic matter;

D. a supporting plate having a flower mounting bracket engaging said stem;

E. a transparent cover supported on said plate, and;

F. a plurality of closed aromatic containers with individual plugs with pistil and stamen components supported in said plugs for selective use with respective aromatic containers.

Claims

1. An artificial and aromatic flower kit comprising: A. a flower base including stem, sepal and petal components, said sepal defining an inner reservoir; B. a container for aromatic matter supported in said reservoir such that its neck and outlet end is substantially co-axial with said stem, sepal and petal components; C. pistil and stamen components of said flower supported in said container and extending outwardly of said reservoir, as wick like distributors of said aromatic matter; D. a supporting plate having a flower mounting bracket engaging said stem; E. a transparent cover supported on said plate, and; F. a plurality of closed aromatic containers with individual plugs with pistil and stamen components supported in said plugs for selective use with respective aromatic containers.
