I is a perspective view of the gun sight of the present invention;
FIG. 2 is a rear elevation of the gun sight of the present invention; and
FIG. 3 is a side section taken along the line 33 of FIG. 1.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION As shown in the drawings, the gun sight of the present invention contains an attaching arm 11 having a hole 13 which registers over a corresponding opening 17 at the end of the barrel 16. A bolt 18 inserted through openings 13 and 17 with the aid of lock nut 19 secures the gun sight to the barrel l6. Sighting member 12 is a disc attached to the forward end of attaching member 11. Member 12 is substantially circular in shape and is provided with a cut-out section 14 in the shape of a cross.
The cut-out section 14 is substantially cross-shaped, being formed of two overlapping rectangles. the overlapping areas common to both rectangles being approximately half of the area of each rectangle.
The gun sight of the present invention is particularly' effective when applied to a shotgun and permits amateur shooters to rapidly attain proficiency in skeet shooting.
What is claimed is:
l. A front gun sight for a shotgun comprising a sighting member and attaching means for mounting said sighting member on the shotgun barrel in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of said barrel, said sighting member comprising an opaque disc having a cut-out section therein, the cut-out section being substantially cross-shaped, being formed of two rectangles overlapping at right angles, the overlapping area common to both rectangles being approximately half of the area of each rectangle.
