2 Sheets-Sheet 2 STUBBING OR WEEDING DEVICES BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION This invention is an improved device for stubbing or weeding, attached to the crawler-type tractors and has been object of prior applications in Brazil under Ser. No. 224,129 and 001.512/71, to which have now been added some other improvements which may turn this assembly rather practical and functional for deforesting and uprooting of farmlands, and consequently providing a remarkable yield of production.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION The object of the present invention an improved stubbing or weeding device adapted to tractors and more particularly to crawler-type tractors, providing in the field, really new, useful and highly functional devices to facilitate the deforesting and uprooting of farmlands.
The invention includes other objects and features of advantage some of which, together with the foregoing, will appear hereinafter when the preferred embodi ment of this invention is disclosed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 and 2 are, perspective views of the improved stubbing or weeding device, said device being the object of the invention, adapted to crawler-type tractors, and
FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 are, side views of said weeding or stubbing device, under the various operating positions.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT According to the enclosed drawings, the improvements in stubbing or weeding devices adapted to crawler type tractors, comprise essentially an U-shaped structure 1 adapted to both sides of the tractor 2, said structure provided with a mounting plate 3 having laterals in V-like shape, having inclined planes, said plates secured to structure 1 by means of pin or screws.
The plate 3, having an internal supporting bracket that prevents the said plate to close during the tractions movement, is provided with a steel gaff 4 adapted downwards to its vertex and bent outwardly, and being still provided, in both sides of plate 3 with, bottom end knives 5.
On the other hand, said plate 3 is provided at its backside with vertical lateral supporting means 6, provided upperly with forkwise terminals 7, to which pivotally secured is a rectangular casing 8, whose frontal and smaller lateral arm 9 is entirely equipped with outwardly directed indented projections 10, to seize and crunch into the tree polps, said rectangular casing being supported on upper grooves 11, foreseen in both sides of the V-shaped plate 3.
Within said plate 3 is mounted a triangled supporting structure which is a bearing to a rectilinear vertical rod 12, said rod being connected to a guiding means 13 in the bracket or cross beam 14 of rectangular casing 8, said rod and guiding means hindering any oscillation of the V-shaped plate in either direction.
Finally, the rectangular casing 8 having its own independent rotary motion from plate 3, is actuated by means of an hydraulic piston 15, driven by the crawlertype tractor, said hydraulic piston '15 mounted between the upper central portion of U-shaped structure 1 and the rear central portion of bracket 14 of rectangular casing 8, while the plate 3 is actuated by two hydraulic pistons 16, driven by the crawler-type tractor, one of its ends actuated along the U-shaped structure 1.
The improved stubbing or weeding device of this invention, once adapted to the tractor will offer practical and functional advantages, in deforesting and uprooting the soils in an extremely easy way, by means of rectangular casing 8 and plate 3, operating independently therebetween.
I claim:
1. In combination an attachment for a tractor and said tractor, said attachment for said tractor secured to saidtractor by a U-shaped framework, the two ends of said U-shaped framework pivotally attached to each side of said tractor, said attachment having a V-shaped mounting plate, a means for weeding, and a means for seizing trees, both of said means mounted on the V- shaped mounting plate, wherein the two ends of said V-shaped mounting plate are attached to the U-shaped framework wherein the vertex of the V-shaped mounting plate projects forward from said U-shaped framework;
